Abstract

The article aims to show how journalism builds a cultural and mediatic memory around the AI-5 (Institutional Act nº 5), through narrative strategies, producing and re-updating, for example, a long-lasting forgetfulness of many of the meanings of that past. Thus, while some editions gain relevance for mirroring a heroic mediatic past, others are deliberately forgotten. How did the newspapers construct the moment that would constitute itself as pages for a future of a past in a narrative filled with historical dimension? We propose, therefore, a reflection not only on the memorable dimension of journalism, but also on the establishment of links connecting this same journalism with the present, the past and the future in a web of narrative resignifications.
